I wonder if attitudes to golf is the same all over the world? There's a golf course in my village with a couple of public footpaths over it that go past the clubhouse. They are generally very snotty about people using the paths. As a contrast, when I was over in Australia last year, we walked regularly over my nephews local course at Mona Vale and the ladies playing there stopped their games to chat to us! So different....I could almost have joined them!
