It depends on many things - partly whether I would have to tell the wife and perhaps more pertinently whether it is a real world question or fantasy garage!

Sunbeam Tiger seems like a suitable stupid idea in either case - but I am good at executing those. Volvo 240 Turbo - maybe even a 242GT if one could be found (hens have more teeth), a yellow 850T5R with a manual gearbox would be nice - but too many have left the roads forever. Still on the Volvo front I still have a hankering for a PV544 - simply because it looks like every cartoon car ever!

My idea of classics though tend to be newer than most, as classics tend to come from a youthful yearning: E34 M5, Alpina B10 Bi-Turbo, Merc E500 (W124), Lotus Carlton all jump out. I am not a fan of rallying but a SWB Quattro would be jolly tempting - and staying on the Audi front an RS2 would be quite nice. BMW 635 or 840CSI would also be tempting - as would an E30 M3 (remains the most entertaining car I have driven). Citroen SM to cruise down to Monaco in, a nice little Alfa 2000GT to tear round the Alps in, a Jensen Interceptor for those cross continental journeys, a W8 Passat for being an automotive oddity and finally, would you mind if I kept the SS - for just being magical.
