As some of you know, I have been in London all day at meetings, followed by dinner, and have just got home and read the correspondence on this thread. I know that Simon has been similarly tied-up at an event in London and is not home yet (we have fairly recently exchanged messages!).
Whilst my first reaction was to delete the first two posts arising out of the PH thread, on reading further down and all the other comments, I think that as people have posted their views it is important that there is a proper airing and record of the issues, which are to my mind about more than just Aero's and 'Trads'. However, I intend to keep my own counsel and not join in the general melee on this occasion.
Like Brian V, I am or have been a member of each of the major forums on Morgan's and I think that each of them fulfils a specific need and that each has a particular culture or bent (TM has always been, and I hope it remains so, slightly anarchic).
Within this broad church of Morgan enthusiasts, we should be able to recognise that nobody has a patent on knowledge, nor does any website, either on Morgan's or anything else come to that and it is only by recognising our disparate views and treating each other with a modicum of respect, that we can have a sensible discussion of our own hobby, or is it an obsession, the Morgan car in all its forms.
As it is getting late, I will finish this diatribe now and hopefully tomorrow we can arrange to move these posts off the thread on Roof Clips for Series I's to a backwater somewhere more suitable and then we can get back to talking about Morgan's in all their ramifications.
Brian
P.S. Whilst I really love the MIG clock and the dashboard, the engine bay is a bit too jewel-box for my own taste!
