Drove from Kilkenny to Dungarvan, Eire, last Sunday (26 April) in the early evening; very cold and going dark. Drove down the M8 and then along the N25 at a cruising speed of about 60mph. Headlights on and both heated seats operating. Stopped for fuel just short of Dungarvan and she would not restart without a push. In the morning she needed a battery boost to stir life in her.
I'm the second owner and the first owner had heated seats fitted after 13 months by a Morgan Agent. The three year old battery is a Banner Starting Bull 12v 30Ah 300A (EN) with bar code 005753040717. Since then the battery has held a charge, but I have not used the heated seats.
Has anyone experienced the same problem? Is the battery man enough for the job? Do I let the wife freeze? Will the push start have damaged the exhaust emission control system?
