The main car (amongst many others) that I have owned in the past and will inevitably judge the Aero 8 against is the Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale.
Interestingly I hope to have the opportunity to try these back to back on the track soon. The Autodromo do Algarve have obtained an full blown 360 Challenge race car which they use for their 'taxi experiences' at track days.
In 2007, I drove a 360 Challenge Stradale at a Ferrari experience day at Goodwood and then some 10 days later, drove my Series III on the same track at Mog007. My impression at the time was that the Aero had more grunt and it was potentially faster down the straights, but the 360 was on slicks so cornering speeds were much higher and you hit the straights carrying much more speed from the corner. For the same reason it was not possible to compare the handling or cornering ability.
Anyway Robert, a belated welcome and I'm sure you'll enjoy the car very much. Like Kin I am somewhat surprised at your forbearance, I think that I would be at Berrybrook's tomorrow.
