I went to Oxford. Wasted my time there but even after all these years I cant but regard it as an enormous priveledge. You really do get a tremendous start in life and even if you dont make use of it (as I didnt) its there for the taking.

I wouldnt pretend that Oxford is any better than Cambridge or even the LSE. My impression is that Cambridge is more for the academics (and being a spy of course), Oxford for politics / big company linkage ( my college alone has provided 13 prime ministers. From my years there - several ministers), the LSE has to be the best for economics.

Oxford or Cambridge are the experience of a lifetime.
