Hi Peter. You do Jaguar a disservice with that statement. The XE has the new Jaguar developed "Ingenium" engine, not a Ford Ecoboost, and quite an engine it is to. So the engine is made in England along with the rest of the car.


Whilst the Ingenium Diesel is excellent the Jaguar dealer does not know when cars with the gasoline Ingenium motor will be available: JLR is not giving them even an estimated date.
For now they are selling gasoloine engine cars with the 2.0L Ecoboost motor or 3.0l 340 bhp V6 Supercharged.
