I too owned scooters in my youth, I generally preferred the Lambretta to the Vespa, and rode many thousands of miles on an LD150 , and finally an LI175.
I hope you new M3W gives lots of pleasure, they are "a work in progress" so don't be surprised if you need many of your fettling skills.
