Perhaps they're confused? Downunder it's coming up to Christmas in July....might be odd but at least the cooler weather helps you think it is Christmas!
I always thought you did Xmas at the same time as the rest of the world but just did it on the beech in bidgie smugglers and thongs.
We do but Christmas lights etc. and 35-40 degrees C feels wrong....so we wait for an English summer day and try again
