Morgan misjudged the customer base for the 3W
They must have known that there were lots of baby boomers and some a liitle younger who hankered after the 3W. Many I am sure, were or are motorcyclists and all would be total enthusiasts. Initial marketing seemed to be aimed at: well, yuppies. So the marketing was twenty to thirty years out of date for a start.
I walked out of a launch party at the local dealers becuse of the cliental anoyying the hell out of me. I realised I should wait a year and see what was available when all the Ruperts had got fed up with thier new toys.
Perhaps I should have waited three years!!!
I had never heard of Talk Morgan and would I have changed my mind if I had. Maybe, but probably not. I would have been forewarned and I would have pushed for a better deal.
Would I recomend a three wheeler to anyone. Yes I would.
They are or were badly engineered but they are getting better and its just a shame Morgan themselves sometimes( not always) appear to adhere to the British Leyland school of customer service.
