can someone tel me what oil i should be putting in this engine and what the oil rating is , as i keep getting told mixed info

Shell Helix 5W-30 in my +8 (same engine as yours) and I would recommend an oil change every 5,000 miles or 8,000km's.
What does your handbook say?
