Sky had previously sacked Richard Keys and Andy Gray for unacceptable behaviour so contracting Clarkson was always going to be problematic.
I have to say I have only a hazy idea of what Amazon Prime is but much as I enjoyed the old
Top Gear I don't think I'll be rushing to sign up for it.
