I did make up a similar guard myself from sheet metal, but removed it when I suspected that it wasn't stable enough. Yours looks more rigid and a better job.
Apart from keeping all the crud off the components on the rear bulkhead, I wanted to also shield the drive belt to keep that cleaner and prolong sprocket life. Do you know whether your set up does that?
Not really sure, I have had a small stone penetrate the belt so it probably doesn't. Drive sprocket however does keep fairly clean.
