I wonder if the high sulphur 85W-140 Castrol Syntrax synthetic LSD oil that I use the 915 type gearbox with a KAZZ 150% LSD in my 1977 Porsche 911 RSR might be good stuff to use. It is supposed to resist high shear loadings. My M3W is due to go into Esprit Competition in Aubagne in just over a week, for the Mk.1 chassis check/modification and check of the compensator/cushion drive, as I think the second one is now dying, after a massive 3k kilometres. I also suspect the bevel box may not be 100% tight from the clanking behind my back and when they are checking that, they could easily change the oil. I have enough time to order either the Redline or more Syntrax.
