Left hand exhaust manifold feeding to a drivers side exhaust is indeed how the Blacktops were built. The following link to Librands shows pictures of my previous car after the standard manifold and cat were replaced. If you click forward you can see how the exhaust system is routed.

There must have been a good reason particularly when the silver top before it was all down the left
Was it to do with stricter emissions?
