I'm not going to make excuses, life and family circumstances just got in the way, but my 21 year old 4/4 is approaching 3,000 miles on the clock.
This is about to change, it has spent a lot of that time SORNed in my late father's garage but the family home (and garage) has now been sold and the Mog is now living at my house and will be used at every opportunity!
After a new battery, plugs and HT leads it sailed through its MOT. Now taxed for 12 months, this week it has had a full service and all new fluids.
But WHY does my owner's manual say that axle oil should be changed every 5,000 miles? In 40 years of motoring I have never once had axle oil changed on any vehicle.
