I have a problem with the handbrake on my 1938 Series 1 4/4 - it applies its self each time I use the food brake. The system works on a (new)common cable with the foot brake with the handbrake connection "fixed" to the cable. I'm at a loss to see how the footbrake can work with this setup without applying the hand brake at the same time. Your help urgently required. Many thanks in anticipation
