It may be because the CR6ZZ is a road legal race tyre specifically made for classics and will fit cars that travel much faster than the Morgan and MMC fitted them because the superb stickiness suited the car and resemble the older crossply tyres. The whole picture of a narrow bodied car with vintage looking but superb road holding tyres ticks a lot of people's boxes, mine included
