Thats the right 280mm sender. Its the same as the original one, but in the correct length. You can see the VDO partnumber in the picture.
With the original one my M3W indicated 0% fuel level when the tank was half full (max 20 liters refueling). The new one indicates 0% about 7 liters later, but I had only one time to refuel since I swapped the sender, so this is just a rough estimation.
