In the middle of May my brother in law was diagnosed with lung cancer, not to worry as immediate treatment was available and the consultant was optimistic. Very quickly he found out it was the most aggressive form of cancer and despite all the efforts of the medical team, passed away in the early hours of this morning.
I cannot get my head round the speed this all happened last Weds we had a conversation and said see you at the weekend, Thursday to all intent and purpose he had left us.
Cancer really is a B*****D of a disease.

Very sorry to read that.... awful.

One of my guys in the office has just been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer - he's mid 40's.

As others have said, it's utterly devastating and leaves us all feeling so impotent.
