I am of the same opinion regarding additives. What is annoying is that the dealer has gone from advising adding the additive to now saying that a lot of Morgan owners use this additive (still not defined by name)and they would be happy to put some in if I want. Key phrase being 'if I want'. Ball and responsibility somehow back in my side of the court!
I can't help but feel that following the manufacturer's recommendation is the place to start....rather than the dealer's 'claimed equivalent' spec.....Mobilube 1 SHC
My research suggests that the MT75 gearboxes are sensitive to the oil used and I would have thought that putting in the WSD M2C200-C was the best course of action and then seeing if that made a difference.
I never thought that this would turn out to be so complicated!
