We now use the tonneau cover with 3 zips all the time instead of the hood cover.

The 3 zip cover gives better clearance for the seat belts. When the side screens are on the section that normally clips outside the doors is left inside the doors when they are closed. Obviously it is no more secure than a zip but we have never had the car interfered with.

Ideally I would prefer a combined hood cover and tonneau cover. That is to say something with an inner cover for the window in the hood that can be scratched by objects in the luggage area when the hood is down.

When you close the car with the cover you can either remove the headrests (keep a good grip on them. A flying headrest can do a lot of damage), or you can fold the seats right forward. In that case the headrests do make a little bump in the cover but that does not cause a problem.
