Well I'm nearly there....found lots to do.

I am now waiting for the two radiator hoses to arrive and the new rear brake cylinders before I can add the coolant, brake fluid and bleed both.

I've also found that the PCV gromit is perished and the wiper motor impeller has also perished. I've ordered replacements for both.

Other wise every this is, drained, flushed, refilled, cleaned, greased, changed, tightened, fettled etc. etc. etc. I have spend about 24 hours over the last 7 evenings (and a little over the weekends). New brake pads at the front have also been fitted, tapped adjusted and loose nuts tightened.

Since I've had the car I've never been a fan of the routing of the coolant hoses, kind of suspended over the rocker cover and one over the far end of the engine, down the front of the block, under the fuel pump and back up close to where it started! So today I brough some hose, 12 hose clamps and went to work. This is now much neater and about 1.5m less of hose is under the bonnet (and chaff points eliminated!). I had to re-route the +ve battery lead on the bulkhead to avoid a chaff point and I fitted a neoprene wrap to the heater valve to stop any pain damage (just in case).

Pics in following posts.

I'm off to Dubai for a few days but when I am back my four packages (the other is the new K&N air filter and housing) can be fitted and car re-stated. Once all is OK I'll overhaul the carb (don't want to do this until I am sure everything else I have done is OK, so not to make problem solving any harder than it need be!
