The original Burman steering box is a simple device and easy to strip down. It is made up of a worm (on the shaft) a peg that locates into the worm, some cage bearings and some shims.

I have tried to remove the drop arm off my steering box with a hefty puller but to no avail so I think I will be sending it to ICS in Birmingham for a re-build.
