I think you might be referring to the supposed debunking of the hockey stick model by McKitrick and McIntyre in 2003?
Since then, there have been numerous proxy studies analysing a variety of different sources including corals, stalagmites, tree rings, boreholes and ice cores. They all confirm the original hockey stick conclusion: the 20th century is the warmest in the last 1000 years and that warming was most dramatic after 1920.
I know that many of the AGW denialist arguments are very appealing, none of us want this to be happening, but be careful of accepting them without checking the actual evidence.
