So at last I have the stage 1 kit fully fitted and what a revaluation. The engine is so much smoother and no pinking at all. I now realise I wasn't really using the revcounter as the vibration and pinking would indicate the approaching redline. This morning I inadvertently hit the limiter about 10 times blush

The sound is superb! They bark on startup and when you hit the throttle but at a steady speed they quieten right down. Subjectivly (and from memory) it's more like the Brooklands than G56.

Well done to Morgan for sorting this out - I got the impression that when they fitted the original stage 1 exhausts they were a bit taken aback at how far out they were. They then got the manufacturer in and they have remade them to fit (and used mine as a template so hopefully others will bolt straight on.

Also involved were new exhaust mounts which look a bit beefier than the originals! They also have slotted holes for the jumbo bobbins so they are no longer under stress.

I'll try to get them noise measured to see if track use is still OK.
