Find out from your local Ford Dealer what the service interval (oil change) is for the Zetec engine. I'd be checking the gearbox & axle levels at least every 6000 miles.But the kingpins need frequent greasing, maximum 3000 miles, and every 1000 miles will give longer life. There are also three grease points on the propshaft. If it's a new +4 you need to protect the warranty , otherwise if you can't DIY, find a sympathetic local garage. My nearest Dealer wants the Mog for 'several days' - so I did it myself......
Just checked the handbook. Oil changes recommended at 5000 miles, but I bet it's longer according to Ford.........
