interesting the Russian space programme is less cutting edge technology than NASA, using the Soyuz etc. That old saying - if not broken, don't fix it.
That struck me too, they were explaining on TV how the launch technology was unchanged since they put the Sputnick up!
My son, who is doing an Aerospace Engineering degree at Bristol, came home from University at the weekend and watched it with us. I told him when he qualifies not to bother going to Russia for a job as they haven't needed engineers since the late fifties!
