I am from the north, we have over 80 bushfires going currently, the air over most of the north and midlands is dense smoke with visibility down to 3 - 500m for the last two days, no sign of a let up either. The poor fire brigade guys and gals are stretched to breaking point I think, as the fires are spread out over the whole north of the island, there are more and more spots so hot that they now show up on the sentinel satellite systems.
Haha yes I did see that about the caps, saw it on the web yesterday and raced down my nearest woollies to buy one for a souvenir - alas the shelves were clear of anything with the map on, only flag stuff left
it has even happened with the Stamps once.
