Sad to report that I had my last drive in my beloved 4/4 today. I drove it over to Morgan France on the other side of Paris through rain, snow, hail and finally glorious sunshine. I have entrusted the car the to Morgan France to find her a new owner. They are confident of shifting her in 3 weeks.
The 5 years since I took delivery has been a really wonderful experience. I've really enjoyed the car and have particularly appreciated the many great people I have encountered, both in the flesh and also on this excellent forum. Thank you all.
The sale is inspired by a rationalisation of the Pandy car fleet; the Mog and the Mini will both go, to be replaced by a single motor which can be used every day of the year. We are about to embark on a massive rebuild of our house which will put the garage out of action for a good 6 months, which has nudged me into getting on with the rationalisation plan. Likely candidates for the new wheels are the new MX5 or the new Mercedes SLC (as the SLK is now styled). As it happens, I can be into a reasonably specced new Merc SLC for about what I should get from the sale of my 5 year old Morgan.
I am confident that I shall return to Morgan ownership at a later date, (who knows, maybe to a 3 wheeler) so it is more of an au revoir than an adieu to Malvern's finest. As to TM - I plan on continuing to lurk in the background. You don't get rid of me that easily.
