An excellent report and one which coincides with my own experience of the ARP4. Great set of pictures too. For me the details on this car are magic, someone (John Wells?) has spent a lot of time thinking these through.
I'm currently working on a slightly quieter exhaust system, as I can see long journeys getting quite tiring, and my tinnitus is bad enough already. I have a spare longer straight through silencer which needs very slight mods to fit. Personally, I find the ride a bit firm too. Having played around with the adjustable shock absorbers, I have come to the conclusion that there is so little movement that adjustment makes no difference. I'll be intererested to hear others owners views on this.
BTW the handbook says that the tank holds 55 litres, but at a smidge over 20mpg, it goes down pretty quickly!
