I have a Specialised Cover (Stormshield) on my Golf. It's now three years old, and has done a fantastic job.

The positive is that the car always looks showroom when uncovered. The negative is that you can't cover a dirty car, and that's where Meguiars Quick Detailer comes in handy!

In adverse weather through winter it sometimes gets condensation on flat surfaces, so it needs occasionally lifting through the winter for a quick detail.

It has four adjustable straps, which I've colour coded so they don't get mixed up.

Son in Law has one for his Mk2 Golf - same result.

Mine is still like new, apart from environmental soiling. Of course my irritating neighbour managed to damage it one night by burning who knows what on his wood burner. Whatever came out of the chimney landed on the cover and burnt about 30 holes in it.
Luckily it was a very cold night so the paint wasn't damaged at all. But the fabric melted, leaving black shiny holes, most the size of a hole punch, but a few were finger size. I used some offcuts from the storage bag to patch it up, and later treated it to some fire retardant spray.

It's a great product. (No connection).
