Dont see the point. We have a Merc C200 and that has averaged over 48 mpg on 69k miles. And its a normal car. So why bother with a hybrid if you dont save much?

Me neither at the moment.
We were given the Auris as a hire car recently, and I thought lovely, this will be cheap.
In fact it was about as economical as a diesel C5 we had before (yes I know its dirtier), and when the engine came to life on the hills/motorways, it revved its nuts off, and clearly wasn't comfortable as an all rounder. Ok just for towns probably.
