My handbrake is very poor, hardly any grip at all, is this just mine, or are they all like that?
I don't know because the standard models have drum rear brakes and a reasonably effective handbrake. The ARP4 uses disks at the rear and I do know that diskbrakes on cars are not used without a vacuum booster system. I would suspect it is much more difficult to get a good grip with a handbrake system on a disk than with a drum.
