I removed the tank of my 1979 +8 yesterday. strangely it was not mounted on wooden planks. It is mounted on two Z shaped metal brackets.They appear to have been there from new. Never seen these on another Morgan. Had to split the nuts to remove it. I think MMC start with tank and then build the car around it.
