According to the Ford Cortina MK 11 hand book "the gearbox fitted to all models is basically the same, but the main difference is in the selector mechanism (three selector rods on earlier models and one on later ones) The one selector rod model was used on all models (Cortinas) from 1968 , so it's likely that your car has that . Mind you it is a Morgan ....... The only way to know which box you have it to uncover it and look .It does not seem to be possible to be sure otherwise. If there is a separate tube on top of the rear extension of the box, that contains the one selector rod and thus indicates the model . If the selector rods are inside the rear extension, ie no separate tube on top the you have the three rod box . The Ford Cortina Mk 11 owner's workshop manual has exploded views of both types. I likely need to do the same repair as you ....when I get around to it ....Terry
