Thanks to all, especially the locals!
Any advise on car rentals? I'm not too worried about the price of the rental or the cost of petrol--since I've a lot of driving to do I'd like to have something "fun". Any ideas?
From what I've heard "something fun" might not be wise. They are not casual about speed limits, which are low anyway, so its not a country to go for spirited driving.
