There must have been something very odd with your setup. There are plenty of people who have run them at the lower ride height without any problems.
All I can think of its the Bilstein shock is too long. It is 10 1/2" from the center of the eye in the bottom and at the top of the rubber that mates with the bottom of the spring perch. I bought this Kit from Mel Rutter. If You know somebody at Suplex I would appreciate You bringing it to their attention. Other than Mel I have no contacts.
