Well, fate is a strange old girl....
I was asked to come in later yesterday, to cover a later 'turn'; I refused because it finished after midnight (and I turn into a werewolf at that dreadful hour).
A Late turn driver agreed to come in earlier to cover the work. His 19.22 Worcester train killed a person who jumped at Didcot.
So he now has the test of the week off - going into his annual leave week, which I doubt he'll enjoy much.
I'm not guilty that I didn't accept the turn but I do feel great sympathy for driver Neil.
