Thanks, guys. I've reached out to the dealer, but frankly at over 1,000 miles away, I may need to rely on a less than ideal solution (thanks for the high-heat paint suggestion). I'll see what the dealer says first though.
My only concern is that with that much rust, high-heat paint may only serve a band-aid and I could end up with some catastrophic failure of the end cap...
