Worth commenting that on 5 year old cars most MB dealers offer 20 to 40% discount on parts and labour, making them cheaper than the local ""specialists". Fitted parts have a 2 year warranty, compared with the 1 year if the part is fitted by a specialist.

And as has been said, if the car is MB serviced there is free accident and breakdown recovery. For the non business user these features of MB ownership are important and make buying a used MB from a dealer a good option. I bought a 58 plate CLC with 56,000 miles on it and it cost me just £9250, including a full MB Warranty. As far as service is concerned there is no difference between a new and used car.
