My cousin, BA pilot retired, finished his days training other pilots on simulators at Heathrow.
His favourite routes were Highlands and Islands. Over the years (and before the formation of BA from the amalgamation of BEA and BOAC) he has flown most of the aircraft on what became BA's fleet.
The nearest I've got was 15 minutes in a jump seat of a C130 simulator...
Oh yes, and the "Grannie flew Spitfires" sim at Maidenhead - RobMog88 managed a stunning landing in that - don't let him play on the golf course!
