Not good news at all, I always feel a Morgan should be sensibly priced to ensure they attract more customers, promote the brand and keep the wheels turning as such to protect the finances.

I do worry that most "average" people wouldn't touch a Morgan with a barge pole, even when looking for a fun weekend car - and that is a shame. Those that would be tempted might be put off if the price ends up being nearly 40k for a base model.. you can buy some serious machinery new for that.

In a few years the cheapest Morgan will be out of reach of many, and I fear this is catastrophic as any good business model must look at who its future customers are going to be.

In my opinion the 3 Wheeler should always try to stay circa 30k (or less), it has been well received and really made the Brand cool/desirable to many who never heard of Morgan before..

I mean the Caterham Seven 160 is £15'995 new...
