The only response possible is one of sympathy with the victims and their loved ones, and solidarity with France, with freedom, with with democracy.
I obviously don't blame the President, but I don't think that Hollande's rhetoric after the Bataclan atrocities and since has been helpful. Characterizing these outrages as a war, and talking the whole thing up as such is exactly what the perpetrators seek; publicity is their life-blood. They are murderers and criminals.
