CTEK x2 here also (Multi XS 3600). No problems for many, many years.
On the Morgan the connection is directly across the battery, via a Bulgin 2-pin panel mounting plug that a previous owner thoughtfully installed just behind the driver's seat. If you're out there and reading this - well done!
