I once had a Triumph Spitfire and a previous owner wired in an under dash light without a fuse. It shorted & that was impressive. Luckily nothing else failed or caught fire.
Old story time..and thread drift alert...
I had a convertible Herald 13/60 in my yoof and driving home one evening had the under dash wires drop down from behind the home fitted radio. I leant over at 50mph and used my left hand to tuck them back up & started off what looked like bonfire night..!
Lesson learnt...fuses are cheap.
