Mark, I 'm glad that Graham's diagnosis of a PAS hose was correct and it's not the more serious mechanical failure.
If you are able to find out what caused the hose to fail (age, rubbing or defect) and could advise I'd be most grateful. I'm taking the front end is coming off mine after the summer and I'll check all the hoses then.

Might just be best to go to someone like Pirtek and get new replace hoses anyway. Everything ages and eventually fails, and decent hydraulic hoses arent expensive from a specialist as opposed to MMC.
