Sounds reasonable and well stated...

I say *announced*... I was at the factory, and asked about my car... there was a very (very) long pause, and eventually a letter was produced. A single paragraph, unsigned. Undated.

Now, for my sins, I've written a lot & been published a little. I know a hurried piece of writing when I see one. This delay letter was emphatically not a carefully considered message to valuable customers.
More in the line of "Oh sh*t, what do we tell this guy outside - and all the others who are waiting patiently?"

So my read is that the delays, which seem to have come in 5-week cycles, are driven by a QA/design/engineering/fit/test process.
And nothing to do with the weekly build rate. I 'm not sure who could ever have thought that "we want to build your cars quickly, but can't" was a good message to put out.

"Fast" was never a consideration for me. I've always wanted my car built once, properly.
