Have yet to drive a 911 Turbo (997 Gen 2 PDK) too but expect that it will be stunning.
That said having previously had 996/7 Carrera 4S and 996 Turbo found the normally aspirated cars every bit as enjoyable if perhaps even a shade more so. Therefore can understand your comment as regards 911 Carrera - to quote a well worn cliche less is more! However personally if I was opting for a rear wheel drive 911 the GT3 would be hard to beat both on performance and looks although it might lose out on daily 'driveability'.
