No pattern on top. Actually this was my first choice. However it does not have a grub screw fixing, installs purely by pushing it onto the lever. If it grips firm enough i will try this one first. Its surprisingly hard to find a knob that looks right that's universal fit. This one is beautifully made. Basically did a search on 'wooden gearknob universal fitting'
